Newsletter: How to deal with frustration in the recruiting process
Control the controllables.
Yo -
I’m warning you now…
Throughout your recruiting process, you will be frustrated by things that are completely out of your control.
Coaches won’t respond to emails.
Scholarship offers that you thought were “done deals” will fall apart.
You’ll play badly at a crucial tournament.
It’s inevitable that some of these things happen.
Important
The most important thing is how you handle these obstacles.
Control the controllables.
Focus on the things you can control.
Do your part.
Truth
If you can send more emails, do it.
If you can make more videos, do it.
If you properly handle the things you can control, the things you can’t control won’t matter as much.
Parents, this applies to you just as much (if not more) than your kid.
Stay dialed in. Trust the process.
Your recruiting tour guide,
Jack from D1 Scholarship
P.S. Will shoot you an email tomorrow about an easy way to differentiate your video from everyone else’s. Coaches will be super impressed with you. And it’s actually a pretty simple tactic. But more on that tomorrow. See you then.
