Newsletter: Perform at your best every single game with self-talk
The most underrated mental skill tool.
Yo!
Want to perform at your best every single game?
Then you need positive self-talk.
It’s the most underrated mental skill tool out there.
Here’s what it is and how you can use it to your advantage.
Positive Self-Talk
Positive Self-Talk: The inner dialogue you have with yourself (can be consciously or unconsciously).
Here are some ways to use positive self-talk to your advantage:
Speak delusional confidence out loud: Encourage yourself with positive affirmations like "This guy has nothing on me" or "I’m the best there is".
Focus on the present moment: Don't dwell on past mistakes or worry about future outcomes. Instead, stay in the moment and focus on what you can control right now.
Visualize success: Picture yourself performing at your best and achieving your goals. This can help boost your confidence and motivation.
Stay calm and composed: If you make a mistake, don't beat yourself up. Instead, take a deep breath, regroup, and move on.
Believe in yourself: Remember that you are capable and worthy of success. Trust in your abilities and have faith in yourself.
This may sound like mumbo jumbo.
But the best athletes in the world use self-talk on a daily basis.
If it’s good enough for them…
It’s good enough for you.
Keep crushing it.

P.S. I’ve seen lots of athletes throw scholarship offers away with ONE mistake. It’s such a simple fix, but athletes just don’t realize how important it is. I’ll share that with you tomorrow. See you then.
