Newsletter: Want to run faster? Do this.

From the #1 speed coach in the country.

Yo -

Want to run faster?

I worked with the #1 speed coach in the country.

His name was Rad.

And he was “rad” — sorry, bad joke.

But seriously, the guy was a speed wizard.

Here’s 3 speed keys from Rad.

Tip #1

Run uphill.

To run uphill (and not trip or fall backward), you must use good running form.

That means the hill is a built-in trainer.

Running uphill will teach you more about forward lean and leg drive than any speed coach could.

Find a hill. Run up it.

Tip #2

Pump your arms faster.

Your leg speed follows your arm speed.

Important: maintain full range of motion on your arm swing.

I know you want “Forrest Gump” speed, but don’t cheat.

You need full range of motion to run AFAP (as fast as possible).

Btw, I’m coining that acronym ^

Tip #3

Run in sand.

Like running uphill, sand is an amazing speed trainer.

I can’t tell you exactly why it works, but it’s magical.

After running on sand for 15 minutes, you’ll feel like Usain Bolt on hard ground.

We trained on hills and sand all the time with Rad.

And he would constantly say, “Pump your arms faster.”

Rad has been to the mountaintop.

He knows what works.

And this is what works.

Your secondary speed trainer,
